Question Does your exhaust go BLUB, BLUB, BLUB when you let up on the gas?

When I'm driving and I let up on the gas, I get this deep blub, blub, blub sound. It's pretty loud and definitely annoying. Is this normal with an aftermarket exhaust or do I have a problem with my car?
Thanks
-Troy

Hehehe, I like that sound. Ever since I hollowed my cats out, I get that same thing. One thing I think is cool and love to do on the road is drop it in 2nd going 55-60mph and BANG!!! A loud backfire happens . I love that. Yours will probably do the same.

Some times it is caused by a lack of back pressure and what you hear is the cold air being sucked back into the hot exhaust flow. Long tubes headers even make this more prone, as they scavage further down in the exhaust system.

Doesn't everyone with this problem have Off Road pipes? If you have hi-flow cats or cats in general it is less likely to happen.

This is a bit of a long shot, but, if it is cold air being sucked back into the hot exhaust flow... (I too agree) Could it be similar to thunder?? I believe when a warm air mass hits a cold air mass you get thunder. Something to think about??

Cool

Yes, it's air being sucked back in the exhaust. But that is what you get for running an off road. But just remember the trade off, on decel your car may go...BLUB, BLUB, BLUB; but when you nail it it goes .....WWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!! Light Em Up!!

It is your injectors cutting out. It is like that from the factory. A custom chip can get rid of that. You can hear it louder because your exhaust is more freed up.

Besides a visual check, is there any other way to check for leaks?
