what heads do you have?
If you can hook up you should beat him easily but its hard to tell by not knowing what kind of heads you have. The WRX's usually run 14.0's on a good day and this guy may not know how to drive. PS: wrong forum

Your probably making more like 300 hp, but should be more than enough to blow his doors off as long as you can get traction, which you wont with street tires and 300 hp.

Look at my sig. If your mods are like mine you will rip him a new assholee. Granted you dont blaze the tires into nothingness. He would pull you out to the 1/8 Mi pretty quick, but you would run him down after that

Watch out for those four wheel drive cars. You can be a bad driver and still launch one quick. You'll catch him for sure, just make sure you agree on the distance to race.

I raced my bone stock 90Gt 5 speed w/ 110k miles against a friend's brand new 2002 WRX w/ 5k on the dash. I beat him everytime. But his car was an automatic. (Who the hell buys a WRX in auto???? *******) Anyways, if it's auto you will smoke him for sure. Keep in mind that the WRX's turbo does not kick in till 2000 rpm's, so don't spin 'em and take your $200 to the strip club.

It spins up at 2000, so a bad driver just has to hold the revs high and dump the clutch. Its 4 wheel drive so thats no problem. It takes off like it got kicked.

Just make sure you dont spin. Get a set of sticky tires if you can to make it interesting. If your on street radials, better baby it out the hole then run him down. Hope you win!

Make it a long race and you will have no prob. A short, through the intersection race will kill you, unless you put on some slicks to even things out...
