molybdenum or moly-b is superior b/c of its higher temperature/friction absorbtion capacity while retaining homogeneous lubrication on a given surface, i.e. it "plates out "...
lithium is a good all purpose grease but it becomes uneven at lower temperatures and breaks down if sustained temperatures exceed 300 F....
