Default steering rag joint replacement?

My steering on my 91GT is getting a bit sloppy, is there any way to tighten up the slack like there is on older stangs? Has anyone used the Flaming River setup? can you use just a universal made for steering shafts instead of the whole F.R. unit? I've seen the universals alone for a hell of a lot cheaper than the F.R.!!
Thanks,
Brad
P.S. I have another post about my clutch cable breaking....HELP if you can!!!

Default

if you seen my other post, i have LOTS of play in my steering, but that is a bad inner tie rod, i was ready to get a manual rack if it neede replacement, i was also going to order a flaming river shaft only, and use an autozone rack, but i need to do this cheap, so im replaqcing tie rods.
the universal rag joint i heard can be oredered from the dealer, but also read an old post about them being discontinued, but im not sure if thats correct....
about your cable, my d&d cable snapped too, i went back with a stock one and it has worked better than any other's i used.
