![]() Ok I am having some problems deciding what motor to build. This is going to be a serious strip motor. I already have edelbrock victor jr heads, powerglide tranny and ford 9 in rear. My first thoughts were to just use a 302 and stroke it to 347 because its going in a ranger and that would be a pretty easy fit. But after hearing how weak a 302 block can be I thought I might need to reconsider. I am wanting over 500 hp on motor and would like the ability to spray if the block would hold it. Thats what im currious about what will a 351w block take. Im sure a 302 block will not stand for that. I will be using all fordged internals such as eagle h beams and crank with JE pistons so internals are not an issue. I also thought about buying the new. Dart Iron Eagle block but at over 2000 its a little pricy. just currious what you all thought
