![]() I have been running a set of Mickey Thompson 28x10.5x15 slicks. I bought them used in 2000 and they set in my garage on my car until I got it running last winter. I have ran them all summer but now there are worn to the bone. I have heard slicks get hard after getting too old. Is this true and when I get my new set can I expect an increase in my E.T.

![]() How bad are they spinning? Mine arent any good after 30 or so passes. They have plenty of rubber left, but the sidewalls are shot.

![]() I don't feel them spinning, but I have an easy 100+ passes on these tires and they were used when I got them. This is my first year drag racing so I have never had a new set of slicks to knowif new ones stick better or when my times start dropping off.

![]() I had well over 50 passes on a pair of 28x10 Goodyear Eagles last year... I picked up .1 @ the 60ft. mark and .2 in the 1/4 mi. after changing to a fresh set of 28x10.5 M/T's. I couldn't believe how much of a difference they made... so much of a difference that I had to start over on the chassis tune to get the front-end to stay down some.

![]() When my sidewalls go away the tires wont hook. I have never felt any difference at all downtrack between and old pair and a brand new pair.
I think I could get a few more passes out of a pair if I put tubes in them, but I dont want the added weight. I also plan on trying some different things with my clutch to get them to last longer. Andy
