![]() Question 1:
Is there any way to keep the A/C box for heat and A/C when the one bar goes through the dash on the passenger side? (anyone seen it done?) Question 2: What do yall think an average price is to get this thing welded in if all of my interior is already out? Thanks

![]() Answer #1: NOPE. Only way to do both, is to drop the bars down infront of the dash. Then, when your heater core blows, you're el-screw-ed.
Answer #2: It all depends on the shop, type of cage. Moly cages are more, have to be TIG welded. I installed a 10 point in a '74 Malibu for $450, but the customer already bought the cage from Jeg's. Most places are gonna be higher than that. I've seen prices as high as $2000 just for the INSTALL.

![]() It can be done, fully custom bent bars through the dash...it is not ideal however, and with the knee bar it is near impossible.
Like mentioned in front of the dash is about the only option, you'll need to pull the windhsheild to put the heater core in however. My buddy does custom chassis work and will do a 10pt custom bent bar for $800 including materials with all the interior stripped out.

![]() I'm tellin ya bro. Put a 10 point in that car, and FORGET about the heater core if it goes bad!
I have an 8 point in my car, heater core went. Then after some consideration, so did the heater hoses. It's just not a nice thing.............

![]() Yeah pulling the windsheild to gain access to pulling the dash for a heater core is a bitch.....
