Post Help with h-pipe???plz

Ok, i began the h-pipe installation this morning, it was a @#$@%, the installation wasnt all that bad, but when i went to put my 02 sensor back in the pass side, it cross threaded, and was tight around half way in? also, the clearance is tight right there, i think this could be leaking possibly, is it a defected part? i know the 02 is good, cuz i changed it with the other side, and same results, also what do i do with the air tube? is it alright to hook it up into the exhaust? it is an offroad.
And one more thing, i hear a leak somewhere, in the center, near my trans, is it possible i didnt get the middle clamp on tight? does it fit inside the other, or does it fit flush? sorry bout all these ?'s
but you guys always know...

Is it a BBK H-pipe? I have one of those and when I put it on, it leaked from every flange that existed. But, I manged to get it properly fixed. The O2 sensor touches the frame, but you have to live with that. It's no big deal really. The easiet way to pull it on is to jack the car up really high from the front and back. Then slide under so your face is under your oil pan. Then put both feet up against the bottom of your car and pull that sucka on! It's almost a deadlift, so you can get a lot of pulling power. It should fit nicely against your header flanges. Then I used exhaust donuts from pepboys to seal the leaks in front of the mufflers. The airtube should plug into the h-pipe. The cross tube should fit one inside the other. Then the clamp goes around it. Hope this helps. Good luck!

you can also use a length of heater hose to attach the air tube to the new pipe.
Good luck man, I can't help ya with the O2 sensors, but Mine leaked too, took a little work to get it perfect!

Here's why i never use clamps on any of my exhaust. Whenever i do exhaust on one of my cars i get it welded because clamps usually don't clamp evenly around a pipe and if you get it too tight it will bend the pipe and cause an even worse leak. It takes quite a bit of skill to be able to put together exhaust with clamps and not have it leak. Once you start cross threading something and it's hard to wrench it in, it's a good idea to get something to clean the threads out like a thread chaser or even a wire brush to get out all the little crud from the ripped up threads. Try getting a thread chaser that will fit your sensor bung and clearing out the threads so that your sensor will go in properly. You can leave it the way it is, but in the future you may have to replace it for some reason and find that the next one won't even go into the pipe. Good luck.
