Default building an 8.8 on a budget

I want to build up the rearend in my stang to make it a little tougher.
These are the parts Iam going to use
-31 slipne carrier out of explorer
-rebuild trac loc with extra clutch
-install forged Superior axles
-Install a MAC rearend support
Does this sound good? Is there anything you would add or change?

Well the only thing I can suggest which may save you money and give you a stronger rear end is look into the Eaton Package that DriveTrain Direct has $559 includes 31 spline Eaton Posi (Carbon Fiber clutches) 31 spline, 31 spline Superior axles, Axle bearings, seals, and studs.

I am going to do the Eaton Package myself, it is supposed to be one on the better differentials out that is very stronger yet more streetable then a spool.

Hey Rick. Where's the page at with the kit? I went there and looked but didn't see it. That sounds like a pretty darn good deal. Thanks.

I got a new 31 spline trac-lock from a swap meet for 100 bucks, added a set of Moser super alloys and that it for me.
