I'd love to help you, but I don't understand what you're asking for.

YOU CAN'T JUST BUY A NEW SWITCH THAT WILL PLUG IN??? Hmmmmmmmm, this could make it fun. Well, u have the back up lights, that will be easy to find, on my Bronco my park and neutal postions had differernt wires, but the best way is to look at your old switch, take it apart, then see what conected to what. If push comes to shove, then just hook up your old switch and glue it in the neutral position. Or u could always put in a manual.

I'm still not sure what you're asking, because the neutral safety switch in your car with an auto should only have 4 wires:
White/Lt Pink and Red/Lt Blue go to the neutral safety switch itself, and the Black/Pink and Purple/Orange wires go to the backup lamp switch.

Take care,
-Chris

Ford had some odd things in '88 and '89 with those switches. My '89 Bronco had a switch that even Ford counldn't find a part for, I ened up fixing my own switch. It has 6 or 8 wires, when all the others had 3 or 4. I wouldn'd dought that his is different. But 12? Not sure.

OIC, u don't know where it is, follow your tranny linkage from your shifter down to where it connects to your tranny, right there should be a switch, about half-moon in shape, you'll need to take off your linkage to get to it.

List all of the wire colors, and I'll figure it out for you. Be specific, though!

Take care,
-Chris

So there is no way to get your old switch and plug it in and just move it out of the way??? If PKRWUD can't fiqure it out, then I think it's up to a guessing game, get a friend to help. U do know u can bypass this switch right??? I had to do it on my Bronco. Just turn on the key, open your hood, and crank over your starter by using the starter silinoid(can spell) As long as the key is on, the car should start. If u don't know how to do this, I'll try to explain. On your silinoid there should be only three posts on it. One goes to your batt, onther goes to your starter, the third, and smallest one, goes to your tranny and key. When u turn your key to start, it goes through your tranny switch, then the silinoid. Since your switch is disconnected, then u must make your on route. All u have to do is take something metal, say an old screwdriver, and connect it from the batt post to your smaller post, this will close the silinoid, sending power to your stater, and if your key is on, start your car. U can do this all the time if needed, but it looks stupid doing it, but if u need to drive it, do it this way. If you have four posts, then the one to use will be the one with only one red wire going to it(should be one Red wire). Plz let know know if u have any probs.

As Long as it's not in gear, and u don't ground out the positive on anything else, it won't hurt it.
