![]() I just got the new Summit catalog. It tends to lean a little towards chevy, which I don't like, but I saw something that peaked my interest. In the new products section, it shows a Vortech centrifugal supercharger kit that is for a chevy small block, with a Holley 4150 carb. it looks identical to a fuel injection kit, but has a cover for the carb that the ducting feeds, rather than bolting up to the throttle body of a FI motor. now i wonder. I know that both the top and bottom flanges of the holley are identical to my edelbrock 1406. if i adapt the bracket sent for the chevy to fit my motor, would this supercharger work on my car? I am thinking about contacting Vortech to get some details, but If any of you have seen this, and know what i mean, let me know. thanks.

![]() I didn't see that in the Summit catalog, but I have saw a couple cars in magazines with them on there. I say you should give Vortech a call!

![]() if you look in the very beginning of the catalog, in the new products section, it is on the top left hand corner of the page. i don't have it in front of me (i'm at work) or i would give you a page number. i think i will call them. the price was right too, 2295.00

![]() Not a bad price for a supercharger, depending on the amount of boost you can get out of it. For carb though, I think Nitrous is the only way to go, but that is just my opinion. You should call them!

![]() it's on page 9. upper left hand corner. i am not a big fan of nitrous. i am going to drive the car on the street, and i want that "always there" feel of the supercharger. the other thing too is that you get more power from a supercharger than you do from nitrous, while causing less engine damage. the amount of nitrous you need to use to equal the power from a 8 psi charger and you do m ore damage than good. if people have more experience with it correct me, but this is how i understand it.
