Default what to use to seal trans pan gasket. Need help QUICK

Ok, I bought a trans filter and it came wth a gasket. It's says to apply a little grease to the pan then install the gasket. It also says not to use any anhesivees(sp?). What do they mean by grease? What kind of grease? Like dieletric(sp?) I put on my spark plug wires or like grease I use on my universal joints, or what???
