![]() I was just wondering why you have to use Atf in the t-5. Everybody says you have to why can you not use gear oil. Just wondering.

![]() Because the manufacture of the T-5 made it to operate properly with ATF inside, and not gear oil.

![]() The viscosity of the ATF lubricates the T-5 well without gumming up. Don't experiment.

![]() what mr 5 oh said basically cuz the lubrications holes ini the t-5 are very small and gear oil is way too thick to get in the holes efficently

![]() Not to mention that the material on the synchros is designed to be used with ATF.
