Default Damn E-Brake cable...

Well, I just got to work today. I pulled up on the e-brake, and the cable snapped. How hard is it to replace the cable running from the brake handle to the separator? The two cables going to the rear tires are fine, as is the separator. I just need to replace the one cable that attaches to the handle. Right now, (obviously) the cables are laying on top of the driveshaft. I could probably wire them up to the floorboards, but I've got about 50 miles home, and I think everytime I hit a bump, the driveshaft will bounce up with the axle, and scrape the cables. Would probably really suck if the cables were to get wrapped around the driveshaft...

If it's no big deal, I'd like to just replace the cable here at work.

Thoughts?

Thanx!
