![]() Was your time made on ET streets or slicks? Is this a full weight car? Do you have power steering, A.C. smog pump. How about a race crank pully. How bout dumped the exhast right at the mufflers? Alum drive shaft? what is your suspension? skinnys up front? Is it a single plan or a duel intake, what carb? Some type of ram air may help. Fiberglass hood? Give us somthing to work with Dude, we will all try to help. You will have to be paitent and willing to try a few things, and spend a few more dollars.

![]() Your going to need about 111mph for a 12.0 and a better 60'.
You should be able to get about a 1.59 outta that car, how high are u launching and at what rpm? Your going to need to get some more HP outta it though. Skyler

![]() What cam ... what compression ratio ... whats your RPM crossing the finish line?
Don't know about the rocker rebuild kit ? I seriously doubt it ... have a feeling it would cost more to put all new bearings and such in than to buy new ones ? |

![]() Get a race pully for the crank. Get a set of 90/10 lakewood front struts and a set or at least the front coil springs from a 4 cyl car. This will put the 60 ft where it needs to be. 1.5 - 1.60s. Get this done get to the track, get us a report.

![]() i used to be able to get the 1.5 60' with the suspension i have and with juice and do you think i should put a race pulley on since the only thing im running is the alt and water pump and im comming threw the traps at the bottom of 4th the cam was cut for 373's but im thinking it would work better with 410 then i might be going threw the traps more towards the top of 4th my cam duration is at .50 at 218 /230 and the lobe lift is .3010/.3010 and the seperation is 110.00 the valve lift is .481/.481 and i have 1.7 roller rockers and the cam is installed at 0 degrees do you think advancing it or reducing it would help and also would a carb spacer help

![]() I would install the 4.10 gears. Top of 4th is perfect, bottom of 4th is wasted gear. Get some 90/10 struts and 4-cyl springs. You would probably be able to squeeze a few more hp out of it with a carb spacer. Try it, see if it makes a difference. Also try the race pulley for the crank like 88workcar said.
What rpm are you shifting at? And where/how are you launching it? Do you have shorty or full length headers? If you have full length headers, try disconnecting the exhaust for the heck of it and see how it runs that way. If you don't want to deal with that, get some dumps that exit after the mufflers before the rear axle. Play with your timing a little if you haven't already. If you pull a 1.5 60' that could put you around 12.1-12.3. If you can squeeze a few more ponies out of it on the big end, there's your 12 flat.... It may not be possible to make enough power with what you have though. Even with all this stuff done perfectly. You might have to do a little intake/head work to get the power you're wanting...You should be able to get damn close how it is now though. GOOD LUCK! |
