![]() My car has some serious idle problems and it surges and bucks badly up to around 2200rpm. I have no idea which component that I installed recently is causing this because so many things went on at once. I am thinking I need an FPR and a good tune up, but it's been doing this since I got the car back together and is getting progressively worse.
What I am wondering is if there is anyone near me that would be willing to let me try out their Pro M meter calibrated for 24lb injectors to see if that might be what is wrong. I have heard of other people having similar problems as me with the C&L 76mm which is what I have and I would like to eliminate that from the list of things that could be wrong. If anyone could help me out I would really appreciate it. ------------------ Too much to list. ![]() It seems like allot of people with the f303 and the c&l have the same problems. I used to have the same exact combo that you have but I had a set of windsor jr's. I know allot people won't agree with me, but a custom chip or some other managment system is the only way to work out ALL of the bugs when you have heavy mods done. Not to mention you will pick up a few extra hp.
You seen my car I have a bunch of crap that has to work together and never would if I didn't get a custom chip burned. If I had a street/strip clutch, and a bigger fuel cell I could drive my car in stop an go traffic, or small road trips. ------------------ 347 W/ A-trim 6#'s, Canfield heads, out of the box Systemax II intake, solid roller cam. 11.1 @123mph 1.46 60FT 93lx 5.0 daily driver |

![]() You are definatley right wads, a custom burned chip can make all the difference. My car had extensive mods, but I was running the factory computer. My chip gained me a full half a second and 3 mph in the quarter. Plus tons of driveability. I was running an F cam then as well. If you want to take it one step further, find someone with a chassis dyno that can tune your car in with different programs. (my chip was custom, but it was mail order) Imagine what I might have picked up if I had been on his dyno!

![]() Well, I was thinking about that. But I plan on adding a set of aluminum heads in the future and don't want to have to buy another chip then. I'm betting it's my C&L and maybe some tuning issues that is causing it to be so bad. The car was at least driveable when I first got it together and now it's not.
