i have an 86 gt. So far ive added headers, exhaust, pullies and timing. It is an AOD and i do plan to keep it! Transmission comes next for mods. So which does anyone recommend. I have about 1000 dollars. 1)Lentech valvebody 2)PI Stallion Converter 3)4.10 gears |

![]() I'd do the valve body and gears and still have some left over. the torque converter is pretty pricey it would take a big chunk out of your $1000 budget.

![]() I'd say drop the money now and get the converter and a shift kit. You'll use up a good portion of your money, but keeping your tranny alive is as important as making the car fast.

![]() Oh, and btw, the more mods you make, the more you'll want the converter. Make sure you get a good quality converter. Even though they are pricey PI Stallion converters are worth the money from everything that I've ever seen written about them.
