Post wires from trans???'s help pleeze, hurry..

Miraculously got reverse back, but while pulling the trans I broke the wire plug-in thingy coming out of the trans...

do i need to hook up these wires or can I leave them disconnected? don't they just run the BU lites & the neutral safety switch??

re-installing as we speak...

thats a t5 right? then its auto trans fluid that goes in there.thats right, good old atf dexron/mercon trans fluid.the plug on the side is the one for reverse lights, the neutral safety switch is actually a clutch switch hooked up to the clutch pedal inside. and i beleive its about 3 quarts of fluid in the t5. it will spill out over the fill hole when you have enough.just incase, the fill hole is about half way up , its a plug that takes a 3/8 ratchet.

Wink

FYI;

a 4 wire connection, with a looped wire that completes a circuit, the looped wire has to be connected or the car wont turn over and start (wierd)... oh well
