![]() I have a 6lbs powerdyne kit on my 92. I want to know if i can put 9lbs pulleys on it without blowing it. Some one told me that the 6lbs and the 9lbs are 2 different supercharger and the difference isn't the pulleys.
![]() ![]() ![]() Please help me????

![]() You are correct that they are different superchargers. However, you can upgrade the 6lb supercharger with a 9lb pulley. Thats what i did on my 93 and it works better. I wouldn't recomend going any higher the 9lb on the 6lb supercharger kit, the bearings aren't strong enough to take much more. 9lbs will be safe, but you should probably get a by-pass kit with that couple extra pounds of boost.

![]() Tanx a lot man!!!
Few other questionS. When you boost the beast to 9lbs, is it the blower pulley you change or the crank pulley, or both???? ![]() Do you have any part number for the pulleys??? A by pass valve, is it neccseray?? Who make one??? Can i still use the stock 12:1 FMU with 9lbs of boost Do my 155lph fuel pump can handle the extra power???

![]() All that you need to change is the blower pulley to get more boost from your charger. Changing of the crank pulley is not really needed, but by getting a smaller crank pulley will make it easier on the engine to create the HP. I just changed the blower pulley and mine worked out fine.
The size is 2.93" for a 9lb pulley. The part number for the pulley is PD-D10045-293 and will cost $60. The By-Pass Valve is a pressure-release valve that allows air that is being forced down the throat of your motor to be by-passed back into the supercharger for later use. The By-Pass increases reliability for your motor and your supercharger and will give you smoother idling, due to a reduction in blower surge. If you are running at pressures of 7psi or above, then it is deffinately mandatory to run a By-Pass Valve or your chances of damaging head gaskets, rings, seals, or other important parts of your engine are extremely high. Powerdyne makes a standard by-pass valve and will install in about 20 minutes and cost $130. The part number for your '92 is PD-A10261-011. You can still use the stock 12:1 FMU with 9lbs of boost and your 155lph fuel pump will be able to handle the extra power even though you can never have too much fuel if you do decide to go with a higher fuel system at a later time. Fuel equals power. Well, good luck.

![]() Got a question though....what model of the powerdyne do you have??
BD-10 BD-11 BD-11A?? If you don't have the BD-11A, I would look into ATLEAST checking the bearings and replacing the belt before revving it up more...
