hello everyone, i just got ahold of a 5 speed that is from a 93 cobra and just have a couple of questions about it. first of all, is it a tremec or a t-5. the numbers on the tag are 1352-000-239 and when i went to http://www.fordmuscle.com/archives/2...p/index2.shtml to id it. it tells me that it is "aftermarket" and doesn't say it it is a tremec or not. reason being is that i need to know if it is a tremec or a t5 because i will be putting this transmission in my 67 mustang and there are custom crossmembers that are different for a t5 and tremec, and i need to know which one i need. does anyone know for sure whether it is a tremec or not, all your help is appreciated.
i am trying to buy parts so i can have my stang back on the road asap. thanks, shawn |

The 1993 Cobra used a Borg Warner T-5 5spd. It got a couple upgrades such as a tapered roller bearing, and phosphate coated gears. It was rated at 310ft/lbs I believe. Basically, it's a Z spec without the taller 2.95:1 1st gear.
