			 Simple question guys..

How the heck do you guys see if it's full of transmission fluid(or whatever your using)referring to the fluid level in the Paxton of course.. I checked mine this weekend b4 going to a car show and it's hard to see on the dipstick. It's supposed to be level with the top line..just wondering how good you guys can see this.. ------------------ Paxton Blown 87GT ICQ#91504337 |

Although I haven't had one on my car, I did have an SN93 that I was going to use before I bought the Novi (& then sold the SN93). I recall the same problem.

I thought about painting the dipstick flat black so that you could see the level easier but I'm not sure if the paint would come off due to the oil & heat. It may be worth a try if you can find a flat coloured paint that won't come off. ------------------ 91 coupe 3.73's,long tubes,2 1/2" exh, ported stock t-body,ProM-77mm cobra intake, edelbrock heads,B303,1.72 rr's 36lb inj's,tremec, & a Paxton NOVI 2000!!! 11.020 @128.95 on BFG Drag Radials (275/60/15) |

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that your oil level shouldn't be dropping at all because it is a self contained unit.

If you do notice a drop, check for external leaks & leaking past the impeller shaft seal as evidenced by oil in the discharge tube. Are you using Ford type "F" or Paxtatrac? [This message has been edited by SisuStang (edited 06-11-2001).] |
