![]() My car has started to make this loud noise in the inside, it is coming from the outside though. It sounds like the front wheel bearings. It's almost like a dron, grinding, really like a !!!!!!WOOOOO!!!!!!! It's louder then the dang exhaust! It started when I lowerd the car. I'll be changing the bearings in the morning. Any other idea what it might be. Please give me some ideas so i can look in to it.
Thanks in advance, ......supakat...... |

![]() Easy check for front a wheel bearing noise source is to simply drive on a quiet road and when you apply the brakes, listen and determine if the noise (noticably) subsides. If so, it's probably the wheel bearing(s).
Your noise may be the driveshaft rubbing due to lowering. I would suggest you try to get it on a lift and check the driveshaft and entire undercarriage for fresh wear marks. You could be doing some damage. |
