Man, i hope i didnt screw up my car, i was cruisin home from the track, (ran a 14.1
)i was going about 50 on a back road, when a stop sighn comes up too quick, i just went straight through it, my car hit a dip and then did a dukes of hazzard over the road, and i heard it bottom out hard , i heard the exhaust or something drag, and clank, but the noise stopped?, then i pulled over to the first lighted store, and couldnt find anything that looked damaged, except the front of the frame had some asphalt marks on it.My h-pipe looks like it might be hanging lower, but never really knew how it was before, Does anyone think it could be damaged, you know how it is, im stressed ![]() The alighnment doesnt seem like it's off anymore than it was, my car is a old police so it has reinforced floorpans, could this prevent damage? i think the rear sway bar drugg pretty hard though, but a shock or srtut could be replaced. What you guys think? how tough are mustang suspension?? |

LOL I jumped my stang the other night too... Racin another stang goin about 60 and hit a RR crossing, and FLEW through the air.. he slammed on his brakes though and I wasn't paying attention!! I slammed to the earth in a shower of sparks..
But I got under it and besides the scratches (the flowmasters are pretty tough!) It looks and rides ok! Good luck!------------------ Joe! 1988 GT, 167,000 miles!!! 13.71@105mph Check out my listing! Click here! Or my website: www.joe4speed.com 1999 Ninja ZX-6R 10.32@135mph! |

I cleared a 4 lane road with my Mustang II once. No damage that wasn't there before.
I doubt you did anything at all to it, maybe polished up your H-pipe. ![]() |

Sorry to hear that joe, glad you didnt crash, but i feel better now, i guess these stangs are pretty tough.
Fastang i was at the track, but intending to just spectate,"mustang vs camaro" but the temptation was too much, i started making passes, and got a 2.0 60' too , my new time was on 103 gas though, just mixed a gallon, im kinda worried though because my car still pinged a little beetween shifts? prolly the plugs. So my subframes are not in yet, and my sway bar was still intact, gonna have to come off after the airborne move i did last night, cuz i think it's out of wack a bit. O and besides the 7 second camaro that was there (not street legal of course) the fastest car there (street legal), was a 9 sec fox body it was wicked....thnx guys------------------ 90 lx coupe: Mac cold air fenderwell, accel supercoil, advncd ignition,3-core radiatr, FMS alum D/S, Black magic fan, 3.27grs, 3chbr flows.
