				 |  Tranny going, going, gone My 95 GT with an AOD is on its last leg.  I have flares between shifts, cool noises and a few other things.  I already knew I was going to need a new one to begin with so its finally time.  My question is do I rebuild it myself, Ive done trannies before, or buy a totally new one?  Either way who has good parts and rebuilt trannies?  Oh ya, How much of the shifting is controled by the computer vs. the valve body? Greg |

				 |   From my past experiaces w/ an AOD..(3 in 6 years on a mid-14 car) I seriously advise you to consider a t-5 or c-4 swap.... I wish i did the first time...AOD parts are extremely expensive...sun gears are about $250 converters are $400-$500 clutch packs are about $200 you will have at minimum a $1000 bill IF you do the rebuild yourself. more like 2 grand if you take it in...and it will brake again,very soon. ------------------ 4.10's,long tubes & 75 shot...Goes 12.50's Check it out at http://www.burnouts.webprovider.com |
