![]() Hey Shotgun, nobody thinks you're a dork. I asked for anything no matter how small. To make you feel better I got a REAL stupid one for you:
When I was in high school (a LONG TIME AGO), I had an 88 IROC (you could laugh, its OK)..it was a 305 5spd car with throttle body injection...for a 16 year old it was a dream compared to my parents cavalier. Anyway, the first thing I did was go to B&B performance and pick up my K&N, put it in right in the parking lot, and when I pulled out, I mashed it and actually thought the car was gonna fly or something!!!!!!! It just bogged up as usual and only chirped second when you power shifted. ![]() Has anyone heard a borla exhaust on a mustang? My friend has a 89 Trans am(lets not hold that against him) and when he put on borlas it gave a really mean deep sound, unlike the high pitched wine of flowmasters.

![]() I'm not even gonna touch this one Smokey....
Oh the he!! with it. I have never heard anything that sounded good on those toilets, especially Borla. As far as Mustangs go, I know an idiot that did that "let me cut the holes in my GT bumper thing" and ran those borla fart pipes out the @ss end... Let me just tell you this kid has NO friends ------------------ 1992 LX:V-1 S-Trim ,Edelbrock 6037 Heads,Cobra Intake,E-303,1.6 Rollers,65MM Holley TB, 75 MM Pro M Mass Air, 190 LPH FP,24 lb injectors,MSD 6A and BTM,BBK equal length shorties, offroad h-pipe,Mac Flowpath Mufflers,Pro 5.0, 3.73's,Motorsport "C" springs, welded subframe connectors,Ponies w/ 225/50 Nitto NT 450's on front,255/50 BFG Drags out back,93 Cobra Spoiler Daily driver 89 Coupe:BBK shorties, offroad, flowturds with dumps, soon to be cyber green |

![]() I think I would have to say swapping a 351W in place of a 3.8L. Not sure yet... I'm still finishing it up.

![]() Not an SN95 body... its a 86LX Fox body. It had a 3.8L and C-5 trans. The block is getting worked at the time so once I get everything figured out it will be on the street. Hopefully in the next 2-3 months.
BTW the Cobra R is a 351 in a SN95. [This message has been edited by rj_stang (edited 03-23-2001).] |

![]() What kind of mac's, where did you get them, and how much are they?
I think I might try them. Are they louder than the flows or just deeper? ------------------ James Cox nochevy@hotmail.com 1991 Mustang LX 12.565 @109.38mph 1.764 60ft |

Well thats easy , One summer day i went to the garage , looked at my ride an decided we both needed a change. so I simply opended the hood , removed the radiator cap then pushed the ol' dodge out the garage ,drove in the new stang re installed the cap. thats was the trick "a brand new outlook on life.

![]() Well, i did some head work to e7's , put on some long tubes , removed the cats and had the t-5 rebuilt all at once. It sounded great, pulled hard and blew my rebuilt t-5 to shreds. Try getting warranty on mustang tranny rebuild. Got different t-5, rebuilt it myself and it works slicker than when new. Now it's fun to drive .
