Name that sound. Rear Brake noise?
Ok I have been having this noise for a while. It is a higher pitch noise like a repeating womp. When I hit the brakes it deepens and almost stops. As soon as I let go the sound returns. I dont know too much about the rear brakes so the more you can tell me before I begin the better off I will be. Or if I should just take it to someone. I had the brakes done over a year ago by Tire Kingdom. Big mistake had to take it back more than once.

Have you checked your U-joints? It sounds similar to a U-joint starting to fail.

I haven't checked anything yet. Would the U-joints change sound when the brakes are applied?

Yes the u-joint noise can change when applying the brakes due to a load change on the drive shaft. As the car slows down so will the noise exactly as you described.
