Well I'm not going to discourage you from trying that swap because I think it would be kinda cool!
 I'm not sure if the earlier v-6 mustang mounts would work because I doubt that they were the same block. You may have to fabricate some. Also make sure the oil pan will fit with whatever K-member you use.
