#2 What regulator are you running? Mallory makes a nice return style regulator.Most of your carb. pumps also have a bypass on them incase you don't want to run a return line from the reg. I have the Mallory 250 with a sumped stock 88 tank,#-10 line to a BG nonreturn reg. I run the bypass on the pump to a bung that was welded in to the top of the tank.I've never had a problem,and pressure is easy to set. The regulator you have may be busting it's balls to resrict the flow. Remember injected cars need pressure on the fuel rails,as a carb. has bowls to store its fuel and doesn't need major pressure. My pump flows 250 gph@20 psi yours may be 255 lph@60psi just an example. Hope this helps... i had the same prob. only it was a stock pump.
