#1 You should repace that pump for a carb. one.
#2 What regulator are you running? Mallory
makes a nice return style regulator. Most
of your carb. pumps also have a bypass on them incase you don't want to run a return
line from the reg.

I have the Mallory 250 with a sumped stock 88
tank,#-10 line to a BG nonreturn reg. I run the bypass on the pump to a bung that was welded in to the top of the tank.I've never
had a problem, and pressure is easy to set.
The regulator you have may be busting it's balls to resrict the flow.

Remember injected cars need pressure on the fuel rails,as a carb. has bowls to store its
fuel and doesn't need major pressure.
My pump flows 250 gph@20 psi yours may be
255 lph@60psi just an example.

Hope this helps... i had the same prob. only it was a stock pump.

Good Luck
