Default SSBC Rear disc conversion... Need help!!

I bought the car with the SSBC rear disc conversion on it, and it feels like the rear brakes are doing more work than the front. At lower speeds it feels like its braking fine, but on the highway, if i get on the brakes hard, it takes a looooooong time to stop, and when i hammer them i can smell the rear brakes burning up, i know its the rears cuz when i get out and walk by the rear tires, the smell damn near knocks me down. The kit came with a new master cylinder, i dont think it came with a proportioning valve, is there a way i can fix this????

Not real sure what to tell ya man. Is there any type of adjustment? I ask this because on a vehicle with rear drums even if its antilock the pedal fel comes from the back brakes. My moms car will stop if you look at the brake pedal. It has rear discs and antilock both and has no substaintial pedal feel. I would call the company that makes the kit. If you dont have the number try to get in touch with whoever you bought the car from. Thats all I can offer

Sounds like you need an adjustable proportioning valve. I got mine from summit for around $75. Check out http://svo73mm.cjb.net/ for more info.
