Well i just changed my rack out on my 92 the way i did it was once i had to tires off and tie rods loose you can basically turn the shaft with your hand with the key on. Should not be that bad.
Hope this helps. My worst part was trying to get the power steering lines to hook up , they have to be aligned perfect in order for them to start threading, i mean perfect.. Good Luck
