So you really think an intake wouldn't do to much without getting heads? Cuz i was looking at the Holley website, and they also have a kit for 271 hp instead of that one for 2k. I'm not really sure how much it'd be, but it comes with a new cam, intake and all the gaskets needed and stuff.
Another question, Would there be any point in upgrading my throttle body with out getting a new intake or anything? Becuase I'd love to get that Holley package (the 350 hp one) but i mean, Basically that extra thousand I don't think i'd be able to get up . I'm probably going to only have maybe, 1 thousand a month, but that all depends on when I get out of school and how long i have until I go back to school. Although If it is alot, I think i could wait another month to get that complete kit. Now I have seen heads in jegs and stuff, and they're actually less then $600 a piece. But what i figure is actually it'd be better to go with a package then to try to put together my own combo which would be an ownknown hp gain and stuff. -Tireburner- Now, with that package that you said, that stage 3 Edelbrock kit, would i need new injectors, bigger fuel pump, and what not? Also do they have stage 2's and 1's? What magazine were you looking in? Cuz i'd be interested to see everything. Thanks alot. Oh I was also looking through some mags and found out I can get a some S/C's... I would assume, cuz i'm not sure at all, that I wouldn't hafto do alot of modification to my engine to run one in it? Everyone I'd like to thank you all for all the help you been providing me with.

i hear of alot of people running s/c's on their other wise stock 99, 01, as far as the fox body 5.0's, i am not positive, but i don't think the injectors are big enough stock. a s/c guy can better say.

Well I have found online a System Max 2 kit, the 271 HP one, for $650, which includes a cam, lower intake manifold (it's designed for the stock upper manifold) and timing chains and gears. They also have the Complete kit with heads, and manifold for $2200. I'm still not really sure what i wanna go with though. The 271hp kits says you should have 1-5/8" headers to get the 271 outa the engine. If i got that, all i would really need would be the exhaust system, $1200 for that 271 kit w/ me buying full length headers, h-pipe and flowmasters. Not sure really what i wanna do...any more suggestions?
