Default What porting for GT-40 heads?

I am picking up some GT-40 heads off e-bay. They are stock and complete with 64k miles on them. What type of porting should I have done to them. I am not planning on doing it myself and I am sure who ever dose it will have an idea how they should be worked But I would like some idea before I talk to anyone.

i also am getting 1.7 roller rockers 30# injectors AFP regulator

I will be installing a Cobra intake at the same time. I belive it was ported to a 1262 fel-pro gasket

Thanks for the help

Intake: Gasket match and full bowl job. For advanced porting work on the short side radius. have the rough casting polished

Exhaust: Full bowl work and if there are still smog bumps have them removed. have the exhaust fully polished to get rid of the rough finish.
Mine were professionally ported before I bought them with the rest of my motor and I have a flowsheet that reads 243cfm @.600 lift int. and 198@.600 lift.
The chambers on my heads were also worked to unshroud the valves.

Default Injectors?

Why the 30# injectors? Sounds like a little much for your combo. Just curious.

Default Whoops...

I would assume the 9psi blower is already installed. Sorry. Thought you had 30# injectors without the SC. Carry on soldier.

Red82GT:
How much power gain can you expect with ported GT40 Irons? I have a ported Cobra intake, but am looking on a set of ported gt40's. If not to much of a power gain from ported gt40's I will probably look into the AFR 165's.

FYI, my flow #'s are enough to support 500 hp with the right cam, induction, etc.
My car leaves a stock 5.0L way back in the dust so I'd say they're not short on power. It is more expensive to have iron heads ported than aluminum but iron does retain heat better so you can make more power with iron heads (all else being equal). If you can afford the AFR's I'd probably go that way but if you want to save some money, a properly set up combo with ported GT-40's will work.
