![]() Don't use the same crush collar. You don't want to waste a good gear set on $5-$10 collar. If you don't get your pinion depth right the first time you might want to get yet another collar. I have heard of positive stop collars that are re-useable but I have never saw this yet.
You could also use a block of wood so you don't damage the threads on the pinion. I have mushroomed a pinion before on a 7.5.(who wants a gear set for them anyway?). U will need a shim kit cause the 3.73 will have a different offset.
