You'll get a few opinions in here, but I have always like the Pro 5.0. I've had the Steeda Tri-Ax and had a Hurst. The Tri-Ax isn't bad and the Hurst sucked. So in closing, Pro 5.0 is the way to go.

Don't need a new speedometer, but you need a new speedo gear. There are web pages that can tell you how many teeth to get for your wheel/gear combo. I'm sure some other guys on here know where to look.

I like my Tri-Ax, but I am sure the Pro 5.0 is just as good.

I've heard people say that the Pro 5.0 is a bit "notchier" than others. I like the notchy feel of my Pro 5.0 and would buy it again if I needed another one. It's a BIG difference from the stock shifter and makes it nearly impossible to miss a shift.
I've heard the best setup is actually a Pro 5.0 shifter with a Steeda Tri-Ax handle. ------------------ Too much to list. Best ET on the car so far with stock 2.73 gears - 13.73@102mph Indiana Stangers Association Buy your parts here ICQ# 42269241 |

I have the Hurst Billet plus shifter and like it. Can't really compare it to anything else other than stock, though. I also have the Tri-Ax shift handle to bring the knob back a little farther since I have a Tremec.
