I believe there is a company out there that makes motor mounts that sit the engine lower for the swap allowing you to keep the stock hood as well.

The 351 weighs about 50lbs more than the 302. The only kmember that will not accept the V8 is the 3.3L I-6, which wasn't available in 1984. The I4, V6, and V8 should use the same K member.
