Default HELP!!! Car won't start after...

My car won't start after I installed my BBK longtubes. The H-pipe and steering shaft aren't on yet but that shouldn't make a differrence. I imagine I screwed something up with the starter because when i turn the key all I get is a clink.

The wire to the starter is on tight. Could there be another problem with how the wire is attached to the starter.

What could I have screwed up?

Robert

gotta be with something you took off to install the long-tubes.. Check all your wire connections to starter from battery. Are you sure battery is fully charged?

Man - once you get it running you'll be very pleased with the long-tube headers. A pain to put in - but of so nice when job is done.

P.S. - if you steering linkage is rubbing the header tube on left side, you may have to replace your motor mounts. If so - use either Ford OEM or Energy Suspension mounts. As you've seen there's not a lot of extra room.

Got jumper cables? If so, attach the end of one cable to the engine and it's other end to the negative battery post, and then try to start it. If it works, you either need a ground strap between the engine and the frame, or between the frame and the battery.

Take care,
-Chris

It was a bad connection at the starter that was causing the problems.
