Default 4.10's or 4.30's??

I am currently rebuilding my 347 with lots of goodies. I want this car to be balls to the wall. It only gets driven about 1-2 times a week at no more than 20 miles each time..
I was going to go with 4.10's but something keeps telling me to go with 4.30's.. Which should I do??

347 Stroker
AFR 185's
Holley Systemax II Intake
Anderson Cam
Spool
33 spline axles w/c-clip elim.
Tubular K and A-Arms
Front and Rear Coil-Overs
plenty more goodies..check me out in user rides for full details..

With the torque #'s you should have I would try out the new 3.90's. I have 4.10's and 1st and 2nd just go up in smoke and 3rd will catch after about 50mph. 4.30's would be a waste.

4.10's would be the most I'd go if you're going any street driving.

How tall are your tires? I think 4.10's are steep and I have an AOD with stock wheels. I kinda like the 3.90 idea myself but it's all up to you. I'm doing 2500 rpms in OD going 65. There was a HUGE difference between the 2.73's that were in there and now 4.10's but I do love em. I will go to a taller tire later on. I did have a 5 spd with 4.10's a few years ago(bought it like that) and from what I can remember there wasn't much in the area of top end but then again it was stock wheels and tire size. You sure had to shift it fast, that I won't forget.LOL

Good luck, James

Be a MAN and go with 4.56's!!! MWAHAHAHAHA!

j/k

actually I would say 4.10's at the most for what you are doing. I'm planning on 3.90's when I get my stroker finished and put the juice on it.

smokedawg - that sounds like what I'm doing. Course you went with some different parts, but it's all cool glad to see that someone else thinks like me.
