Post Cam gurus- need your opinion

My new motor will be a GT-40P long block from CCM. I'll be running a off-road exhaust. The car is an AOD with the stock converter and a TransGo shift kit. The rear houses 3.27 gears.
I called Com Cams and they recommended a cam with the below specs...

Int - 206* @ .50 with a lift of .533
Exh - 206* @.50 with a lift of .533

The lobe seperation is 112*.

I need to know whether to go with this or the stocker. Supposedly the above cam has a very fast ramp rate and will give me excellent low end torque. The car will be driven only under 5K rpms. Isn't this cam a little weaker than stock?

I think that cam sucks. Try an E303 or Crane 2031, they are much better suited for the P heads. P heads don't flow much past 500 or 510 lift unless they are ported. The lift is too much on that cam. Also, its duration sucks, close to stock, maybe even worse! Plus, the P's like a cam with split duration. The 2031 is a great fit to your combo - I love my 2031. It idles pretty mean, has plenty of low end for the AOD, and pulls like a mofo clear to 6k.

Ditto Josh91 - I have the same engine you do with a 2031 and I dyno'd 277 RWHP with a Cobra intake, 65mm TB, 73mm MAF, 24# injectors, headers and exhaust. I spin tires all the way through 1st and well into 2nd in my vert. I can't wait to swap it into my 93 GT.
