![]() If your state has emission laws the vehicle will prob fail with that one it. I have ran around my town with my 347 stroker w/headers and offroad h-hipe flowmaster exhaust and never gotten pulled over for it. Guess it depends on the cops..

![]() I have found that some cops ask you about why your car sounds like that, but are way too lazy to look for themselves! I get more crap for the headlight and taillight covers! Good luck!

![]() I've found that about 60% of cops don't even know about that law and the other 39.999% don't care. It's that .009% that you have to watch out for. I live in a town where about 1 out of every 4 cars and trucks doesn't have cats and I've never heard of anyone getting any fines for it. I have heard that the fine is pretty big, though.

![]() Where I live (western NC) we don't have emissions inspections but we do have vehicle inspections and one of the things on the list is cats so they check for them. I just put my stock h-pipe on for the inspection every year. I've never had a cop question it or look under the car. It would depend on the cop. I think if you get a cop really mad at you (doing 90 in a school zone, being really rude, etc) they'll start looking for anything they can to give you more tickets.
