I agree that it is simply stuck on.

However, you need to get a matching EGR spacer for the new throttle body. Simply putting on a larger TB without the correct size EGR isn't going to do jack for you as you still retain the restriction. Given, it is restricted now over a smaller area, but your intake only flows as good as the most restricted part. Port matching the intake to the throttle body is a good idea, but you're not going to be able to bore the EGR plate much past 55-57 mm if I were guessing. Maybe you can get it to 60mm without hitting the water passages, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Go ahead and spring for the EGR plate.
