Default Car shuts off

Hi guys, I have yet another problem.. just this week my car has begun to just loose power and buck on me to a dead stop.. It will begin to buck on my and i hear it popping up my intake and if i come to a idle it will die and i will have a hard time staring it back up.. it seemed as though i ran out of gas.. i went to the gas station and put soem gas in and my power came back perfectly.. then after doing this 2 times, i seems like that doesn't work anymore.. I replaced my fuel pump with a new BBK 155lph pump.. the new pump is very very loud.. is that normal could it be going bad after a few weeks?

It could also be the TPS module on the distrubutor -as this was a problem we had. Stang would spit and sputter up thru the manifold and sometime simply flat out wouldn't start. Once we let it sit for a while - it would start and run fine. I believe there was an actual recall by Ford on this.

Mustang_289 - I don't want to be that guy, but wouldn't that be TFI module?

A bad TPS won't prevent it from idling. It will only create problems when the throttle is moving.

A bad TFI module tends to act more like shutting off a light switch, rather than cutting out like it's running out of fuel.

I would inspect the fuel pump relay, and it's connections.

Take care,
~Chris

Default TFI

My experences with a TFI is that the car won't run, pull codes, or get spark.
