Question Full Posi... Which one do i get????

I dont know a whole lot about rearends, but i want to get a full posi rearend in my 93 gt, which one is good, better, best? I hear Auburn is a really good rearend, how much for those? Plus, i dont want to have a rachety rearend, its a daily driver, and i dont want alot of whine, noise, or siffness. Thanks in advance for your posts

The auburn is a good unit. I've heard moroso is the best. But I think its a locker. So you will hear some noise. Your looking at $500 or so. Does any one use power trax that just replaces spider gears. I've seem them for $300 price range. Are they any good. Try soom amsoil series 2000 gear lube to finish the job. Hope I helped.

Theres no question that the Detriot Locker is the best out there.

I've heard the Detroit Locker is the best too, but it's $5-$600 just for the unit. I just got an Auburn put in. $299 for the unit from Summit and it should be under $200 for the labor. The question to look at is how much power your planning to put to the rear wheels. The best bet is to get the 31 spline axles, c-clip eliminators and a heavy duty differential cover for strength. If you go this route your rear end should be pretty bullet proof, but it will cost you about a thousand.

Well i plan on a Vortech V-2 S trim in the near future. Cobra intake, ported stock heads. I know i will need to do at least a rebuild to the rearend to handle this much power. Im looking for something thats gonna be just as good on the street as the track, because this mustang is gonna be a daily driver at least for the next couple years. I dont want a locking differental. just something mild. I have seen tracion lok rearends with 31 spline for sale for mid 200's, and auburn differential's for high 200's up through 300's. But i dont know the pro's, con's or damn near anything about these rearends. So any help would be great
