On your 91 .045" is recomended, and will work fine. I change my plugs every 10-20k miles, I change my cap and rotor every other oil change just to make sure its clean and arc free. Wires I would change every 40-50k miles. These parts a fairly cheap to replace, and it just ensures that your car is running properly.
