Default 5 inch tachs

I want to mount a 5in tach on my dash in my 1991 coupe and am thinking of ordering a autometer 3910 sport comp silver. (the one with out the shift light) Does anyone know if you have to drill any holes to mount these huge tachs? I dont wanna do that if i dont have too.

you are gonna have to make 2 holes for the bracket that holds the tach if you mount it on the dash you could try some 3m double sided tape or velcro but i'm not sure if they are strong enough.

We got an Autometer gauge pod for the dash. Pretty cool- it'll take the 5" tach and two 2-5/8" gauges. Can be painted to match your dash.

Default autometer

Yeah, I've got the autometer silver comp 5" w/o the shift lite.
Pretty cool, it is mounted above my instrument console and it did require two small holes be milled. No biggie.
I might move it though, I hate looking like some rice-car.
Thinking about relocating it to the dash area above the a/c vents.
Anyway, it's a great gauge. What an improvement over the factory tach.
