I've got Hooker =length headers and I've burned a few myself. First it was the factory wires, then it was a set of Jacobs, then it was FMS wires. Last night I put together a new set of Moroso SuperMax 11mm. It's so tight on 2 & 3 that it doesn't look like they'll survive either. The FMS burnt through the boot on 2 & 3 with DEI 6" thermal sleeves. They advertise protection to 1250 degrees. I can't believe another 70-100 degrees could make that big of a difference. I used header wrap with aluminum tape on 2 & 3 this time and the sleeves, too. I've got somebody interested in buying them before they get ruined. I'm going for a set of Taylor 409s. They've got some incredibly small boots at the plug. Next time the engines out it's going to be long tubes for me. I'm tired of fighting the wires and plugs.
