Default 347 in a 96 gt???????

Hi guys,i got a couple of questions for you.i have the oppurtunity to get a 302 motor for $150 from a friend.he bought a scout made by international and someone put a 302 in it ,he doesnt want the motor and thought it would be perfect for me.ive dreamed of having a supercharged 347 or 331 in the past and maybe it can happen.my first question is this:he thinks its an old boss 302 is there any difference in any of the boss blocks and the late model fox or sn-95 blocks?if there is how can i tell what kind of 302 it is? i want to know what im buying here.second:im not even sure how hard this swap will be if its even possible, can some one give me some ideas on what needs to be swapped out?i guess this will do for now ill deffinitely have questions later. ill really appreciate any help u guys can give me thanx!!!!

I would doubt that it is a BOSS block, but you never know.

The easiest way to tell a BOSS block is that it has screw in freeze plugs...weird but true!

Another way to tell is that the Boss block will have 4-bolt mains and taller deck height. Also, if the engine has been untouched, then it should have 5.155" connecting rods and 351C heads.

I have a friend that just rebuilt an engine w/a Boss block so he really knows his stuff.
