many times i have had to replace the battery after the alternator died due to the alt draining the battery trying to pull power. if its cranking like its charged however, you might want to check the starter and soleinoid. (sp?)

When you turn the motor over, does it act like it's trying to start, or does it just spin?

Well, let's get down to the most extreme basics. A motor needs fuel, fire, and air to run. If you have fire and air, check to see if you're getting any fuel to your rails. Did you mess with the distributor at all?

When you hit the key can you hear the fuel pump kicking on? If not, its probably your fuel pump relay..They are anywhere from 10-15 bucks at a local auto parts store..
