Stock, the AOD runs 1st and 2nd gears through a non locked route, and 3rd and 4th run locked. This will just kill you racing on the street or on the track. Go with a fully manual valve body or a lenco valve body that redirects third gear through a non-lock route.

You dont need a full manual valve body or a lentech valve body. All you need is a short shaft, or a "one piece input shaft" and the corresponding non lock up converter.

this will eliminate all lockup in third gear as well as 4th
