Default Subframe connectors, full length vs. standard

I'm planning to buy subframe connectors for my '90lx. Is there a big difference between the full length type and the standard type. I know I want weld-in but for a strip/street car (heavy on the strip) will it be worth the extra labor to install full length. From what I've seen you need to cut the floor from the firewall to the torque boxes.

Also:
What other things should I be looking for, double cross, X-brace...

What manufacturer would you recomend?

If it matters a little info about the car.
'90lx hatch 4cyl.
soon to have a 351W/C4 (carb)
Desktop dyno says 450hp/425tq
8.8 swap w/3.73 gears
Slicks on the track
Basicly I want a race car with the minimum required to be street legal.

Thanke for any help, Brian

I don't have any yet, but I will be purchasing for sure Kenny Brown Super Subs. Reviews from fellow MW posters and friends outside this network, say they are the deal. Highest customer satisfaction I've heard on a subject.

I actually got the competition engineering bolt on ones and sebsequently my friend ended up buying them. They were are great install and the reason i got bolt on is that i plan on welding them once i can get a welder (hopefully this winter). They fit perfect and work great. I noticed quite a difference even just goin up the curb to the driveway. They stiffened the car quite nicely.
