Default vacuum question?

Anyone ever blocked the EGR ports on there TFS heads? Does this give any advantages, other than the obvious ( less heat under the intake)? Also what work will have to be done on the computer. I am not concerned about emissions.if this helps.

I am also wondering about vacuum pumps. I have seen ads that allow you to mount a MOROSO pump in place of the smog pump.Do you have to run lines to both valve covers to allow presure to be equllived on both banks? On a stock 5.0 there is only one line running to the intake from the valve cover and one line running from the upper intake to the lower, for a modiffied car what are some steps i can do to help it breath more freely?
Or should this even be a concern of mine?

thanks Rick Harris
